Optical-Switch Raman Spectroscopy for High Throughput Screening

چکیده

Abstract Although surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a powerful analytical technique with unbeaten sensitivity, the capabilities of SERS have been not fully utilized in screening applications because throughput spectrum detection by conventional instruments has restricted due to their single-point measurement manners. Hence, this paper presents development high system that employs fiber-optic switch and probe array. In system, 785 nm excitation light directed into 1 × 8 broadband optical switching device selectively switched one output ports connected corresponding array deliver samples under each probe. This driven probing sequence allows us rapidly detect scattering multiple ( n = 8) within short time (~ 28 s) decent sensitivity (10 –7 M). The validated comparing features spectra obtained from vitamin C tablets those commercial microscope measured substrates different concentrations. Then, feasibility tested chip

Optimisation of Wavelength Modulated Raman Spectroscopy: Towards High Throughput Cell Screening

In the field of biomedicine, Raman spectroscopy is a powerful technique to discriminate between normal and cancerous cells. However the strong background signal from the sample and the instrumentation affects the efficiency of this discrimination technique. Wavelength Modulated Raman spectroscopy (WMRS) may suppress the background from the Raman spectra. In this study we demonstrate a systemati...

High-throughput optical screening of cellular mechanotransduction

We introduce an optical platform for rapid, high-throughput screening of exogenous molecules that affect cellular mechanotransduction. Our method initiates mechanotransduction in adherent cells using single laser-microbeam generated micro-cavitation bubbles (μCBs) without requiring flow chambers or microfluidics. These μCBs expose adherent cells to a microTsunami, a transient microscale burst o...

Design of Arrayed Waveguide Grating based Optical Switch for High Speed Optical Networks

This paper demonstrates the design of an Arrayed Waveguide Gratings (AWG) based optical switch. In the design both physical and network layer analysis is performed. The physical layer power and noise analysis is done to obtain Bit Error Rate (BER). This has been found that at the higher bit rates, BER is not affected with number of buffer modules. Network layer analysis is done to obtain perfor...
